A glimmer of glitter is enough to turn our heads.<\/h2>\n

I too, am a sucker for shiny objects, inspirational \u200eheadlines and big promises\u2026\u200e<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a blogger, I am well aware of the power of a sensational headline. Sparkly, shocking or intriguing \u200etitles are a fast ticket \u201cin\u201d. Chances are high that the reader will be drawn in and read the post till its \u200eend.\u200e<\/p>\n

Surprises, how I love surprises! Actually it is the gift of giving which I enjoy most. I am not quite as \u200ecomfortable being at the receiving end of this equation\u2026<\/strong>\u200e<\/p>\n

This week I met a friend. We chatted and I asked if she had a chance to see the movie I shared on \u200eYouTube. As we were talking about my blog, she let me in on an amusing antidote. It seems that \u200ewhile she was abroad her husband opened my blog. He saw the headline and opening sentence: \u200e\u200e\u201cIn Aura's Wake – She is gone. Only her essence remains.\u201d Assuming the worst, he quickly picked \u200eup the phone\u2026\u200e<\/p>\n

I had a good laugh and immediately declared that I had a topic for this week\u2019s blog! \u200e<\/strong><\/p>\n

Later I returned home, reread the blog and, for the life of me, I could not recall exactly what I had \u200ein mind while writing the post. In retrospect, I should have chosen my words more carefully\u2026\u200e<\/p>\n

I spent the greater part of my youth as an active member of Habonim. Within the folds of the \u200eyouth movement (Habonim) I built my identity. Forever after I shall harbor a soft spot for my \u200e\u200e\u201cchevre\u201d (my peeps, former members of Habonim).\u200e<\/p>\n

This week I was also fortunate to host one of the \u201cchevre<\/a>\u201d. It had been decades since we had last \u200eseen one another. Chock up another point for Facebook!\u200e<\/p>\n

She was part of the inner circle: popular, sharp and wickedly witty. I felt myself to be off center and \u200eremoved from the limelight. These days, however, I am not easily intimidated. With no hesitation I \u200eoffered to host her and show her some of the beautiful sites of northern Israel. There was an \u200eimmediate click between us. We spent the next few days embracing a rare friendship. The real \u200emagic was discovering the woman beyond center stage. I delightfully discovered her warmth and \u200ecaring to be greater, simply far beyond her compact and sparkly packaging. \u200e<\/p>\n

Sometimes the outer sparkle only hints at the abundant inner glow within\u2026\u200e<\/h3>\n

What hides behind our attraction to shiny objects? Did you know that there is actually a scientific \u200erational behind our lust for glitz? It appears that our obsession with shiny objects is rooted in our \u200einherent need for drinking water: a rational reason for our insane infatuation.\u200e<\/p>\n

From time to time, at a party or perhaps at work, we play telephone. As the message distances \u200eitself from source, often it becomes entangled and distorted beyond recognition. Frequently this \u200ecan be the case within the vest online web of knowledge.\u200e<\/p>\n

Inaccurate information may lurk behind dramatic disclosures. Be wary of half-truths and sticky \u200ecobwebed traps, especially when researching health issues. Let\u2019s do our part not to share these \u200emuddled messages on social media.\u200e<\/p>\n

Frosty Spring Salad<\/h2>\n

\"CAULIFLOWERSALAD\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Salad<\/strong>
\n\u200e2 c chopped raw cauliflower
\n\u200e2 c chopped mixed cherry tomatoes
\n\u200e1 c chopped rocket (arugula) leaves
\n\u200e\u00bd c chopped strawberries<\/p>\n

The Dressing<\/strong>
\nLemon zest from one lemon
\nJuice from one lemon
\n\u200e1 t mustard\u200e
\n\u200e1 t honey\u200e
\n\u200e1 pinch of salt\u200e
\n\u200e1 grilled, peeled and seeded bell pepper<\/p>\n

The Topping<\/strong>
\n\u200e1 handful of mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower)\u200e
\nSliced strawberries<\/p>\n

Cut fruit and vegetables.\u200e<\/p>\n

Grill bell pepper until lightly charred. Place in bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Remove after five \u200eminutes: peel and clean. Add all of the salad dressing ingredients (including the bell pepper) and \u200eblend until smooth.\u200e<\/p>\n

Toss salad with dressing.\u200e<\/p>\n

Top with seeds and slices strawberries. Bon App\u00e9tit! \u200e<\/p>\n
