There comes a time when you ought to start doing what you want. \u200eTake a job that you love. You will jump out of bed in the morning. I \u200ethink you are out of your mind if you keep taking jobs that you don't \u200elike because you think it will look good on your resume. Isn't that a \u200elittle like saving up sex for your old age?<\/em> \u200e\u200f~\u200f\u200e Warren Buffett<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

My Virtual Wonderland<\/h2>\n

The web is a marvelous tool. To prepare for my blog, I \u201cmilk\u201d the net. \u200eThis improves both the quality and depth of my writing. I currently \u200eblog in two different languages: one is foreign, while the other, \u200ealthough native, simply does not flow in its former natural rhythm. In \u200eboth cases, I utilize the web to search for synonyms, check spelling \u200eand verify word combinations. Here I have found a brilliant paradise \u200ewhere all searches are carried out with simplicity and ease. Much to \u200emy demise, however, here to be found is also a cursed playground \u200ewhere it becomes ever so easy to just hang out and play\u2026 \u200e<\/p>\n

What\u2019s a blogger to do?\u200e<\/h2>\n

There is something magical (perhaps at times of the black kind) about \u200ethe web\u2019s luminous reach. At any moment, through a webbed source \u200eof wands, it is possible to access countless ideas, interviews, people, \u200estories, news and documents. Every search expands the network of \u200eideas which connect and merge. Similarly, each new quest threatens \u200eto change the original blog post\u2019s topic unrecognizably.\u200e<\/p>\n

Outdoor Play as a Tool for Creativity<\/h2>\n

If you are seeking to bring more creativity into your life<\/a>, might I \u200esuggest some outdoor activity? While unsure of the exact mechanics, \u200eit works like a charm, time and time again. Every Saturday morning I \u200epack up to mountain bike with the gang. I fill up my \u201ccamel bag\u201d with \u200ewater and snacks and leave with a clear intention of the week\u2019s post. \u200eIt may be only semi formed but the topic and some basic links are \u200eclear. Throughout our 3-4 hour bike ride I become flooded with pearls \u200eof wisdom and links of how to tie the post together. By the end of our \u200eride I am anxious to return home and begin writing. \u200e<\/p>\n

Suddenly I am lost within the web. It is always a tossup exactly how \u200ethe adventure will end: ever weary of the rampant flow of villains and \u200eheroines lurking beyond the screen who will lure me into their lair. \u200eOnce inside, my post will be hijacked off route\u2026 Such was the story of \u200ethis week\u2019s blog. \u200e<\/p>\n

I stumble across a fascinating Ted lecture and am lead off track to \u200einvestigate something else. As always, the information can be used to \u200eadd another creative and imaginative connection, set aside for future \u200euse or merely as another way to dally and put off the task at hand. \u200e<\/p>\n

Swept away by an engaging and passionate man with a vision, I \u200epaused to watch his Ted lecture and then promptly joined his \u200ecommunity of visionaries.\u200e<\/p>\n
