I do not care if all of your friends eat this: I will not allow it in my \u200ehouse!<\/p>\n

Desperate, despondent and willing to put anything in a bag: just let \u200emy child eat something\u2026\u200e<\/p>\n

Weighed down by guilt, buy ME<\/strong> prevails: taste appeal lost to colorful \u200esweet talk in a package.\u200e<\/p>\n

If I could turn back time, I would do things differently.<\/h2>\n

I would choose \u200epleasure, abundance and happiness. My parenting mindset would \u200eembrace education as a tool to empowerment. I would seek to expose \u200emy children to a rich rainbow of food choices: each offering color, \u200eexcitement, pleasure and nourishment. The power of choice would be \u200etheirs.\u200e<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is interesting how a blog comes to life.<\/h2>\n

I wander delicately on a \u200etightrope between my thoughts, memories and feelings until I \u200ediscover a compelling meeting point between the trio and a looming \u200ethought. The acrobatics begin here. My thoughts they twist and they \u200eturn: I zoom in on my idea and then zoom way out, seeking allies all \u200ethe way. Finally, the choreography clicks. I am ready to transcribe the \u200esteps into words. It is needless to point out that any resemblance to \u200emy initial thoughts is purely coincidental at best!<\/strong> \u200e<\/p>\n

Such began my quest to spotlight glorious greens\u2026\u200e<\/h3>\n

The first order of the day was to understand the love story between \u200ePopeye The Sailor Man and the infamous can of spinach<\/a>\u2026 It appears \u200ethat while a German scientist transcribed his results to print, the \u200edecimal point wandered to the power of 10. Thus instead of recording \u200ethat spinach had an iron content of 3.5 milligrams per 100 grams of \u200espinach, suddenly it was awarded with an iron content of a whopping \u200e\u200e35 milligrams! This print typo remained uncorrected for close to 70 \u200eyears. Popeye came to life in 1929 and soon became the hero of the \u200eday. He can even be held indirectly responsible for the surge in the \u200epopularity of spinach during the years of The Great Depression.\u200e<\/p>\n

In the not so distant past, memories full of stored materials were of \u200evalue. Today\u2019s Age of Information has created a new reality. Suddenly \u200ehow to learn has become far more important than what to learn.\u200e<\/p>\n

Doctor Google knows all.<\/h2>\n

Any and all information is butt a mouse click \u200eaway. Of course, the weight of responsibility lies within us. We must \u200edouble check and cross check all information. The ability to wade \u200ethrough the sea of error, mistruths and falsehoods online is integral to \u200eour success.\u200e<\/p>\n

Fast forward\u2026 No more glorious greens: merely green. Glorious is lost \u200ein the search of the \u201cbig picture\u201d.<\/strong> \u200e<\/p>\n

Embracing Green<\/h2>\n

Green is natural: less adornment more natural allure.\u200e<\/p>\n

Green is nature: grown in the ground and not manufactured in a plant.\u200e<\/p>\n

Green is inquisitive. No shame to be found in not knowing: nobility \u200ethe ability to ask the right questions.\u200e<\/p>\n

Green signals go. Don\u2019t just stand there. Throw caution to the wind: be \u200ebetter than yesterday and tomorrow be better than today.\u200e<\/p>\n

Green is a combination (of yellow and blue). Just as green is a \u200ecombination of colors, our health is a unity of behaviors, some \u200econscious and others not. Look to expand this unity: there is always \u200eroom for more color.\u200e<\/p>\n

Green is a new bike.<\/h2>\n

Hubby encouraged me to treat myself to a new \u200esteed. Today was my first time out. Despite the fact that I rode a \u200esimilar demo bike numerous times, I felt a huge difference in our (me \u200eand my bike) performance. We smoothly climbed and twisted all of \u200ethe challenging turns with ease where as previously speed had been \u200ethe ace to conquer every challenge. I was puzzled; why this was so? \u200eWhy did everything feel so markedly different?\u200e<\/strong><\/p>\n

I discovered that the demo bike was a large frame which had been \u200eadapted to a medium fit where as my bike was a medium frame from \u200ethe start and all the accessories were a perfect custom fit to my frame.\u200e<\/p>\n

Eureka! Health is not a one size fits all. \u200e
\nOne way or another color your life green.\u200e<\/h2>\n
